Parfümerie Osswald , Zurich

Due to space limitations the Make-Up area of the perfume store had to be moved to the underground level. A new, circular furniture occupies the space and creates a kind of a plaza, welcoming the clients entering from the street: a Genius Bar for perfumes.

Downstairs, the existing layout has been freed up from formerly built-in bathrooms, thus liberating a central column around which the Make-Up counters as well as the whole retail space is organised. In addition, the whole space has been stripped from various layers of cladding, opening up the space and revealing its over 100 years of history (the building served as the ‘Eidgenössiche Bank’ and was built from 1894 to 1907 by Adolph Brunner).
